On Saturday June 27th alt-rock royalty Kim Salmon (Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon, Kim Salmon and the Surrealists) performs two special sets live at Cherry with his brand new band titled especially for times of Covid “Against the Stream”. ! You can enjoy the evening either whilst dining at the venue, or from the comfort of your home via our live stream!
Melbourne is the live music capital of the world. Regardless of the difficult COVID-19 trading regulations, we want to lead by example and offer punters the chance to get back in front of a great artists. Over a career spanning four decades, Kim Salmon has been a seminal influence on countless grunge and garage rock bands including Nirvana, Mudhoney, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, White Stripes, Sonic Youth, The Drones and Spacemen 3. Kim reappeared in the spotlight with another tour with The Beasts, a biography and book of art and 2 new singles as well as his beloved Scientists being inducted into the WAM Hall Of Fame. Kim will hit the Cherry stage with his new band “Against the Stream” (feat. Claire Birchall!) with a show that is not to be missed.
It’s crazy to be saying this, but yes, Cherry is back… With a venue capacity of just 20 guests, tickets are premium priced and come with a lot! We hope to see you there.
